HMS Warrior in Portsmouth

You're standing on the harbour in Portsmouth, right by the railway station, next to a huge ship with three tall masts. This is HMS Warrior. She looks like an old sailing ship, but don't be fooled. Under those masts is an iron hull, and in 1861 that made her, together with her sister, the first iron-hulled, armour-plated warship ever built.
