You're standing on Rambynas, a hill on the right bank of the Neman River in western Lithuania. Take a look down at the river. It's the border here. The far bank belongs to Russia's Kaliningrad region. The hill rises about forty metres above the water, but it used to be much bigger. In 1835 a chunk four hundred metres long slid away, and smaller landslides followed later. What you're seeing now is mostly the northern slope.
