You're standing on the shore of Lake Salda, in southwestern Turkey. Just look at that colour. The water is so clear you can see a long way down, and the edge is lined with white sand. Plenty of people think of a tropical beach at first sight, but you're actually in Burdur Province, about fifty kilometres west of the provincial capital.
