Castle Pernštejn in Nedvědice

You're standing at Pernštejn Castle, perched on a rock above the little village of Nedvědice, where the Svratka and Nedvědička rivers meet. Brno is about forty kilometres away. Take a look at the setting. On three sides the rock drops away steeply. The only way in was from the north, along a narrow ridge, and that's exactly where the builders piled up their defences.
