You're standing at Tarasp Castle in the Lower Engadine, just outside Scuol. In Romansh it's called Chastè da Tarasp, and it's a Swiss heritage site of national significance. Start with the walls. They're covered in white plaster, and around 1500 they were painted with coats of arms. Most have faded, but a few were brought back during recent restorations. Can you spot one?
