You're standing at Carisbrooke Castle, on a hill above the village of Carisbrooke, close to Newport. Start with the gatehouse. Two round towers guard the entrance, pierced with narrow slits for archers. Above the gateway you'll spot the carved coat of arms of Anthony Woodville, brother-in-law of King Edward IV and once lord of this castle.
