You're standing at the Riverside Museum, Glasgow's museum of transport. Right here, the little River Kelvin flows into the Clyde. The striking building was designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. She won a competition for it in 2004, beating forty-three other entries. The doors opened in June 2011, and just two years later it was named European Museum of the Year.
