You're standing at Josselin Castle, right in the heart of Brittany. Start with the spot itself. The castle sits on a rocky promontory above the valley of the river Oust. That was no accident: whoever held this rock controlled the valley and its trade. Now look at the towers. There used to be eight, plus a huge keep. Four of them are still standing.
