Bagras Castle in Belen

You're standing at Bagras, the ruin of a medieval castle in the Amanus Mountains of southern Turkey. Look up at that steep outcrop. The fortress wraps around it on three main levels, with more than thirty chambers. From up there, defenders watched over the Plain of Antioch and the pass into Syria. Whoever held this spot held the road.
