Bohus fästning in Kungälv

You're standing at Bohus Fortress, high above the town of Kungälv, about twenty kilometres north of Gothenburg. Have a look around. The fortress sits on a cliff roughly forty metres high, and the Göta river, which splits into two branches right here, wraps around it like a natural moat. You couldn't pick a better spot to guard a border.
