You're standing on Goat Fell, the highest point on the Isle of Arran. At 875 metres, this is the roof of an island that's often called 'Scotland in miniature'. It's also one of four Corbetts on Arran, the name Scots give to mountains between roughly 2,500 and 3,000 feet high. In Gaelic, it's called Gaoitbheinn.
