Archaeological site Hochdorf Chieftain's Grave in Eberdingen

You're standing at the chieftain's grave of Hochdorf, a huge burial mound among the fields of Baden-Württemberg. Look at the size of it: about sixty metres across and some six metres high. That makes it one of the largest mounds of its kind. Yet for centuries you'd barely have noticed it. Erosion and farming had flattened it so much that people simply walked past.
