You're standing at Urnes Stave Church, on the eastern side of the Lustrafjord in western Norway. It's a church made entirely of wood, built in the first half of the twelfth century, and it still stands where it was built. Norwegians sometimes call it the queen of churches. It's among the oldest stave churches in the country.
