Archaeological site Zominthos in Municipality of Anogia

You're standing on Zominthos, a small plateau in the northern foothills of Mount Ida, which Cretans call Psiloritis. The village of Anogia lies about seven and a half kilometres to the east. Have a look around. The old path from Knossos to the Idaion Antron, the great sanctuary cave near the summit, ran right through here. Anyone heading up to that cave passed this very spot.
