You're standing at the Great Mosque of Diyarbakır, right in the heart of the old city. It's the oldest mosque in Anatolia, and some even call it the fifth holiest site in Islam. From the outside you don't see much. The mosque is fully enclosed, so you can't just peek in. The main entrance is on the eastern side, through a portal. Take a look at the minaret too. It was rebuilt in 1839, and it may well have been modelled on a Christian bell tower.
