You're standing at Strahov Monastery in Prague, a Premonstratensian abbey founded in 1143. The idea came from Jindřich Zdík, the bishop of Olomouc, after a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. His first attempt, in 1140, didn't work out. So the Premonstratensians were invited, and the first of them came from Steinfeld, in the Rhine valley, in what is now Germany.
