You're standing at the Ulu Cami, the Grand Mosque of Bursa, right in the heart of the old city, next to the historic markets. Bursa was the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, and this is its largest mosque. Look at the shape: a big rectangular block, 55 by 69 metres, with a roof full of domes. There are twenty of them, in four rows of five.
