You're standing at the Heiliger Sand, the old Jewish cemetery of Worms. It's usually called the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Europe. These days it sits at the edge of the city centre, squeezed between the railway to the west, the Willy-Brandt-Ring to the east and Andreasstraße to the north. A quiet place surrounded by traffic.
