You're standing at Gola Castle, Schloss Guhlau in German, in a small village in Lower Silesia. Start by looking at the site itself. The castle sits on a rocky escarpment. To the west the ground drops away steeply, to the east there was a wet moat, and double stone walls once ringed the whole place. Those are traces of a medieval stronghold that most likely stood here before this castle was built.
