You're standing at Litomyšl Castle, right in the centre of the town of Litomyšl. It's one of the largest Renaissance castles in the Czech Republic, and it belongs to the state. Since 1999 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a fine example of an arcade castle. That style started in Italy and grew into something quite special of its own in the Czech lands.
