Fort Koeneschans in Krimpenerwaard

You're standing at the Koeneschans, a small peninsula in the little river Vlist. Have a look around. Five roads meet here: the West and East Vlisterdijk, Bonrepas, the Fransekade and the Slangeweg. Two bridges, the Koeneschansbrug and the Schansbrug, tie it all together. You're also right on the border between two old polder regions, the Krimpenerwaard and the Lopikerwaard.
