You're standing in the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The countryside around you is no accident. This whole landscape was designed on purpose, by a single family. It covers 283.09 square kilometres and takes in Lednice, Valtice, Hlohovec and the rural area of Břeclav. Since 1996 it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List, thanks to its mix of Baroque, Neoclassical and neo-Gothic architecture.
