Stob Pyramids in Kocherinovo

You're standing at the Stob Earth Pyramids, at the foot of the Rila mountains in south-western Bulgaria. Take a look around at these strange columns. Some are sharp as a spear, others are cones, and plenty of them look like giant mushrooms. Most stand six to ten metres tall, the biggest reach twelve. At the base they can be as much as forty metres thick.
