You're standing at Glamis Castle, in the broad, fertile valley of Strathmore in Angus. Just look at that skyline: towers, turrets and pointed roofs, straight out of a storybook. No wonder so many tales cling to this place. The Lyon family, later the Bowes-Lyons, have owned it since the 14th century, and the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne still lives here today.
