Idalion

You're standing at Idalion, on the edge of the village of Dali, right in the middle of Cyprus. This was once a wealthy city-kingdom. Take a look at the hills around you. The city had two of them, each with its own acropolis. On the western hill, Ampileri, stood a fortified palace, the largest known on the island. The eastern hill, Moutti tou Arvili, was the sacred one, with temples to Apollo, Aphrodite and other gods. Ordinary houses sat lower down, in the lower city.
