You're standing at the Basilica of San Gaudenzio in Novara. Look up, and then look up a bit more. That huge dome with its slender spire is the symbol of the city. The whole building reaches 121 meters, and it sits on the highest point in Novara as well. Right at the very top stands a statue of Christ the Savior. It was hoisted up there in May 1887.
